Event type 01

Concerts and live music

Music is unforgiving. Every instrument needs its own space, every vocal its own clarity and every performer a good monitor mix.

Our approach

For live music, we work with the performers well before the event — reviewing their technical requirements, stage layout and any particulars of the line-up. That keeps the soundcheck quick and the performance relaxed.

At the soundcheck, we set up every instrument and vocal, prepare monitor mixes for the performers and check the transitions between songs. During the concert, we adjust the mix as we go — quiet ballads and loud choruses call for different approaches.

Whether it is an acoustic evening in a small room or a band concert in front of a larger audience, the aim is the same: for the music to sound the way the performers imagined it.

  • Concerts by bands and soloists
  • Acoustic performances
  • Choir concerts

What we pay attention to

What makes the difference.

  • 01

    A balanced band

Every instrument and vocal has its own place in the mix, without masking or muddiness.

  • 02

    Monitors for performers

Performers can hear themselves and each other, which shows directly in the performance.

  • 03

    Performance dynamics

The mix follows the quiet and loud passages as they happen, so the music can breathe.

  • 04

    Quick changeovers

With several bands, we prepare settings in advance for fast changeovers between sets.

Questions

Concerts and live music: what we are often asked.

01 Do we need the performers’ technical rider?

If the performers have one, please send it. Based on the rider, we prepare the equipment and channel allocation and save time at the soundcheck.

02 Do you also take care of the stage monitors?

Yes, monitor mixes for the performers are part of live sound mixing for music performances.

03 Can you provide sound for several bands at the same event?

Yes. With several bands, we prepare a soundcheck schedule and settings that allow quick changeovers between sets.
